As a software engineer specializing in web development and UX prototyping, I bring a unique blend of skills as a graphic designer turned developer. Through my extensive experiences in fast-paced startup environments, contract work, and freelancing, I have developed a deep understanding of how Javascript libraries can be leveraged to create dynamic and engaging user interfaces.
My primary tech stack includes Typescript, JavaScript, Angular, React, Next.js, Ruby on Rails, REST, HTML5, CSS3, SASS, Bootstrap, Tailwind, AWS services, Git, and PostgreSQL. I also specialize in Wordpress, Figma, Balsamiq and Adobe Photoshop, Illustator, and InDesign.

🎨 Started with graphic design
Freelance / In-house
- I began my career as a designer for both in-house and freelance works.
- I worked on graphic design and art direction for brand development, website & mobile UI, advertisements, annual reports and small collateral projects/publications.
- What started with web design quickly evolved into creating CMS/wordpress sites for clients with responsive UI & simple scripts.
🎓 Graduated from Full Stack Web Development Immersive
General Assembly | Bitmaker
- I completed a 12-week full-time web development immersive program with over 468+ hours of coding, specializing in HTML/CSS, Javascript/JQuery, AJAX, Ruby on Rails, PostgreSQL, and Github.
- I built several projects, including the launch of full-stack collaborative web app project "Baking with Mary" - a community-driven receipe and review platform.
👩💻 Software Coordinator / Web Developer
MacroMind Media / Contract
- While looking for fulltime work, I worked contract and freelance on multiple web app projects, including EdTech, E-commerce tech, and patient-care platforms.
- I developed and deployed progressive web apps, including scope and design contribution, utilized MVC-style frameworks like Ruby on Rails for the back-end.
- I also developed and maintained Wordpress sites with marketing contents to support SEO and responsive views.
👩💻 Fulltime UI UX Developer
iSmart Technology
- At iSmart, I worked as both frontend developer and designer for the startup's IoT cloud platform consisting of new and legacy web applications, integration UI, and automated reporting services.
- I collaborated closely with the product manager and the cross-functional team in the early stages of concept development and brainstorming to implement new features, test, and fix bugs, which ensured the business and user outcomes resulting in shortened work orders and increased IOT product delivery capacity.
- Enhanced user experience by transforming design from wireframes to UI iterations, and analyzing web analytics data & funnel tool to adapt to UI changes.
👩💻 Fulltime Software Engineer
Singuli Inc.
- As a founding employee and Angular developer at Singuli, I developed complex, reusable UI components to ensure seamless data handling from the backend to display on the frontend UI with sophisticated grids and charts.
- While improving the reliability and consistency of the frontend with best practice implementations and design system documentation, daily tasks include building new features, fixing bugs, conducting peer PR reviews, and maintaining organized, high-quality code with Jasmine unit tests and Cypress E2E tests.
- I led new frontend features and created wireframe prototypes and UX design flows to bring cross-functional team together in project kick-off meetings.

My Care Compass
A Fully Responsive patient care planning platform given by the Ward of the 21st Century research team at University of Calgary. Features includes symptoms-data tracking and insights, goal setting, calendar, reminder tools and generate report for care providers. Built using Ruby on Rails, Bootstrap, and PostgreSQL.

React Inventory System Dashboard is a business user login web application, part of opencannabiz.com, which allows business account creation, manage stores, products and services for listing a business on the platform. UI built with React, formik and Material Kit Pro which has account management, product listings, advanced uploaders and forms, and different themes.

A responsive 3D Portfolio website which is made using Three.js a cross-browser JavaScript library and application programming interface used to create and display animated 3D computer graphics in a web browser using WebGL. It has a beautiful interface made using Tailwind CSS and React.

Baking with Mary
A community-driven recipe sharing web application featuring Cannabis-infused foods. The platform has been designed with responsive views that enhances the viewing experience. The user interface is intuitive and easy to navigate, ensuring that users can easily find the content they're looking for. Most features come from the multiple search filters, user receipe inputs, coupled by google maps integration to find nearby dispensaries.
